Timesheet Calculator Online – Track Work Hours & Pay

Advanced Timesheet Calculator

Work Entry 1

Keeping track of exactly how many hours you have worked across a week — especially when your days vary in length, you take breaks of different durations, and some shifts push into overtime — is the kind of task that is easy to get slightly wrong when done by hand. A small miscalculation in a timesheet can mean underpaying yourself, misreporting hours to a client, or submitting inaccurate payroll figures. The Timesheet Calculator handles every entry, every break deduction, and every overtime calculation automatically. Add your work entries for as many days as you need, set your overtime method and pay rates, and receive a complete breakdown of regular hours, overtime hours, and total earnings in one organized result.

How to Use the Timesheet Calculator

Building your timesheet takes just a few minutes regardless of how many days you are logging:

Add Your First Work Entry: For each working day, select the date using the day, month, and year dropdowns, then set your start time and end time using the hour, minute, and AM/PM selectors. If you took a break during the shift, enter the break duration in minutes in the break field. The break time is automatically deducted from your total hours for that entry so your result reflects actual working time rather than time on site.

Add Additional Entries: Click Add Another Entry to log a second day, a third, or as many as your work period covers. Each entry has its own date, start time, end time, and break field, keeping every day’s data separate and clearly organized. If you add an entry by mistake, click Remove Entry to delete it — the first entry cannot be removed, but all subsequent ones can.

Set Your Overtime Method: Choose between Daily Threshold and Weekly Threshold depending on how overtime applies to your situation. The Daily Threshold method counts hours beyond your set threshold on any individual day as overtime. The Weekly Threshold method accumulates all hours across the week and applies the overtime rate only once total hours exceed the threshold for the full period.

Enter Your Threshold: Type in the number of hours that marks the overtime boundary — 8 hours is the common daily threshold and 40 hours is the standard weekly one, though you can enter any figure that matches your employment terms or client agreement.

Enter Pay Rates (Optional): If you want the calculator to compute your earnings alongside your hours, enter your regular hourly rate and your overtime rate. If pay calculation is not needed, leave both fields at zero and the result will show hours only without any earnings figures.

Click Calculate Timesheet: Your complete timesheet result appears immediately. The total hours worked are displayed at the top, split between regular and overtime hours. If pay rates were entered, total regular pay, overtime pay, and combined earnings are shown as well. The full breakdown table lists every work entry with its date, start time, end time, break, regular hours, overtime hours, and total hours all in a single organized row for that day.

Why Use the Timesheet Calculator Online?

Multiple Entries for a Full Work Period: Most timesheet tools only handle a single shift at a time. This calculator is designed to cover an entire working week or any multi-day period in one session. Adding entries for every day you worked and calculating everything together gives you a single comprehensive result rather than a series of separate figures you have to add up yourself.

Break Deduction Built Into Every Entry: Gross shift hours and actual working hours are different figures, and the difference matters for both compliance and accuracy. Entering break time in minutes for each entry ensures the calculator deducts it correctly so your hours and earnings are based on time actually worked rather than time clocked in.

Daily and Weekly Overtime Methods Covered: Overtime rules differ between workplaces, industries, and employment agreements. Some calculate overtime per day, others per week. Supporting both methods means the calculator is accurate for your specific situation rather than applying a one-size approach that may not match how your overtime is actually structured.

Optional Pay Calculation Turns Hours Into Earnings: For freelancers invoicing clients, hourly employees checking their payslip, or anyone who wants to know what their timesheet translates to in money, the pay rate fields do that conversion automatically. Separate regular and overtime rates ensure the calculation reflects the correct premium for any hours that cross the threshold.

Clean Breakdown Table for Every Entry: The per-entry breakdown table means you can see exactly how each day contributes to the total — which days had overtime, how many hours each break reduced, and what the regular versus overtime split looks like day by day rather than just as a combined weekly figure.

Free and Ready on Any Device: No account, no subscription, and no cost of any kind. Open it from your phone after a shift or on your laptop at the end of the week and your timesheet is calculated instantly.
